Our story

Built by grapplers who stayed on the mats.

Outcasts Grappling Club is West Sussex's home for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No-Gi and Wrestling. A club, not a chain.

BJJ practitioners training

Why we exist

A club for the rest of us.

Outcasts started with a simple idea: a place where grappling is taken seriously and people are taken care of.

New starters and seasoned competitors share the same mat. Coaching is direct, structured and rooted in fundamentals you can actually use. No politics, no posturing, no contracts.

We trained at clubs that didn't quite fit. So we built one that does.

What we stand for

Three words on the wall.

01
Discipline

Show up. Train hard. Earn every stripe.

02
Respect

Every partner, every coach, every visitor. No exceptions.

03
Community

We win together, we lose together. The team is the point.

Meet the coaches

Coaches who still train.

Jamie Irving
Founder, Outcasts Grappling Club

Jamie founded Outcasts and coaches alongside a small team of dedicated instructors. Direct coaching, structured fundamentals and a room where new starters and competitors share the same mat.

The team

One mat. One family.

Coaches, competitors, hobbyists and first-timers. Every face here started exactly where you are now.
